The sky now divides
To bring you back into the fold,
And the angels welcome you home.
Still, my need to recognize
The wisdom in your words and eyes,
Only continues to grow.
Finally God you must have found,
No longer living on shaky ground,
No longer confined by mortality.
Yet still, I shed tears for your loss,
Though in the end ’twas worth the cost.
But forever has such finality.
And now you have found eternal refuge,
Now the storms of pain have released you.
Eternity granted by the Lord’s sacrifice.
So, although my heart is weeping,
I know on high your voice is singing.
So this is my farewell tonight,
Until we join in the blessedness of eternal life.
